We are a community based partnership consisting of Life Sparx LTD, New Birth Christian Ministries, Linden Life Fellowship, Hope City, The CARE Coalition, and Columbus Public Health. Our aim is to provide trauma informed care to Teens, Young Adults, and families in central Ohio at no cost. We also look to break the stigma around mental health in minority communities.

The City of Columbus has experienced a continuous rise in violence over the past two years. The violence has left a trail of tears and trauma that loved ones are left to carry. As a faith based community we are eulogizing more young people than in previous years. We are also finding that families are in need of counseling services more than ever. As the church we understand the value in prayer, but also realize that in order to deal with the trauma left by violence and poverty, this must be addressed holistically.

 

We have pinpointed church partners on numerous sides of town that can serve as hubs for counseling drop in centers for young people and their families dealing with the trauma of violence. Our goal is to offer these families and students free counseling services. We would like to partner with the CARE Coalition to help individuals, families, and the surrounding neighborhoods mend after tragedy has taken place.
